Story
History
House of Paws Dog Grooming was formed by Ellie Bucci in 2021.
Ellie has 15 years experience in dog grooming some of which were dogs shown at Crufts. Many years of the 15 were working as the senior lecturer in dog groom from London to Leeds. Over lockdown when the college shut she decided to create House of Paws Dog grooming. After lockdown, with a humble start in her back garden, with her husband tirelessly converting the small summer house in to a grooming salon, House of Paws Dog Grooming was born in 2021. Within a year of trading Ellie needed to expand to larger premises and found the perfect space on the boarder of Shipley and Saltaire. Within a further 2 years we have taken on a member of staff. This rapid expansion is testament to the consistent high standards in animal welfare and quality of groom.

Please note our cancellation policy is 48 hours. Any cancellation under the 48 hours will be charged the full amount.
FULL GROOM
This includes a bath in the appropriate shampoo for your pet skin and coat type, drying, brushing and clipping or scissoring to requirements.
Nails clipping, ears cleaned and plucked if your pet is happy for me to do so.

BATH & DE-SHED
De shedding is the removal of a dog's loose undercoat. The idea is to remove the hair before it lands on your furniture and clothes, but it also makes your dog more comfortable.
This service includes, bath with an appropriate shampoo, conditioner, blow dry and nails clipping.

HAND STRIPPING
Hand stripping is specifically for wire haired breeds and some of the silky coats.
Hand stripping is a grooming process that involves removing dead hairs from the coat by hand instead of clipping. This will keep the coat tidy and healthy. It
is usually completed twice a year.
This service takes a minimum of 3 hours to complete.

IN BETWEEN GROOMS
This service is best described as a tidy up. Clearing the hair away from your dog's eyes, feet and sanitary area as well as a tidy up of your dog's outline.

NAIL CLIPPING
Keeping your dog’s nails trimmed is important for many reasons including proper posture.
Your dog’s joints can be affected by long nails by making them shift their body weight backward, making their back and hind legs take more stress than it is designed to.

Puppy Groom
This is a very important first groom. This can set the stage for how they respond to being groomed for the rest of their life. It is vitally important to have a puppy groom at an early age.
Here at House of Paws Dog Grooming we make the experience as pleasant as possible for your puppies.
This includes a bath and blow dry, brush out, face tidy, hygiene area trimmed, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, pads and paws tidy (if required), and perfume.
What ever breed or size, all of the above can be tailored to your puppy's needs and suitable for 3 - 6 months old.
The first 10 - 15 minutes of the appointment is for your puppy to familiarise themselves with the new smells and noises of the salon. It usually takes a couple of sessions for puppy tp be comfortable with the grooming process.
